As an Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer (Site Based), you will play a vital role in supporting geotechnical and geological activities across active rail sites. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy hands-on site work, problem-solving, and contributing to safe and efficient rail infrastructure projects.
You will be involved in geotechnical assessments, earthworks, and slope stability activities while working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Sites located anywhere between East Midlands and York (UK)
💼 Employment Type:
Permanent
💷 Salary Package:
£30,000 – £40,000 per annum

✅ Education:
Degree in Geology or a related discipline
✅ Experience:
Hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
Slope stability
Earthworks
Relevant geotechnical or engineering geology projects
✅ Additional Advantage (Desirable):
Master’s degree in a related field
✅ Personal Skills:
Strong site-based and practical mindset
Ability to work in a dynamic rail environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to travel between project sites
