🚀 About the Opportunity

Ma’aden, the largest multi-commodity mining and metals company in the Middle East, is expanding its Exploration & Resource Development (ERD) team and is currently seeking an experienced Geologist III to support its Early-Stage Exploration Operations across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This is a field-based role designed for passionate and technically strong geologists who thrive in target generation, early-stage exploration, and multidisciplinary collaboration. You will play a vital role in identifying new mineral resources and shaping Ma’aden’s future exploration success.

🧭 Job Purpose

As a Geologist III, you will assist with geological activities related to exploration and resource development. Working closely with geophysicists, geochemists, drilling teams, and field technicians, you will help identify areas of interest, prioritize exploration targets, and design effective exploration programs aligned with Ma’aden’s strategic goals.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Contribute to target generation and prioritization of prospective mineralized zones and new ore bodies
Design and execute exploration programs including:
- Geological mapping
- Soil and rock sampling
- Drill rig supervision
- Core logging
- Field logistics management
Collect, analyze, and evaluate geological data daily in a safe and cost-effective manner
Integrate structural, lithological, geochemical, and geophysical data to identify exploration targets
Analyze drilling and exploration results to update geological models and refine resource estimates
Prepare high-quality technical reports, geological models, and presentations
Collaborate with drilling engineering, environmental, legal, and licensing teams
Support ERD KPI assessments (drill targets, new resources, exploration success)
Promote a “Safety First” culture and ensure compliance with EHSS standards
Maintain required permits, licenses, and professional certifications
Continuously upskill through training, mentorships, and professional development programs
Stay current with the latest advancements in exploration technologies and techniques

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years of geology experience within the mining industry
Proven experience in exploration target generation
Strong familiarity with the Saudi Arabian mining and minerals sector

Solid analytical skills for assessing exploration and project feasibility
Extensive knowledge of JORC & NI 43-101 standards
Hands-on experience with QA/QC systems
