Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Conducting geotechnical investigations and site characterization
Performing advanced geotechnical analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, and seismic studies
Preparing foundation and pile designs and recommending ground improvement solutions
Reviewing and interpreting borehole logs, laboratory testing results, and design reports
Developing engineering solutions for challenging geotechnical and structural problems
Overseeing waterfront, marine, and coastal infrastructure projects, including harbors, marinas, seawalls, breakwaters, and shoreline stabilization
Designing and managing instrumentation and monitoring systems
Coordinating with marine, structural, and multidisciplinary teams
Preparing engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications
Attending meetings with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities
Supporting small project management tasks and proposal preparation
Required Education & Licensure:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Structural, or Coastal Engineering (required)
Advanced degree in relevant fields (preferred)
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent (preferred)
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience (8+ preferred), ideally including coastal and waterfront projects
Proficiency with geotechnical and engineering software such as PLAXIS, Slope/W, AUTOCAD, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, MIKE21, ALLPILE, SWAN, SBEACH, and MATLab
Familiarity with international design standards including Eurocode and British Standards
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Ability to lead projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and interact with clients and regulatory authorities
