About the Role

The Resource Geologist plays a key role within the Mine Geology Department, reporting directly to the Chief Mine Geologist. This position is responsible for guiding the geological team at Eagle River in developing and maintaining high-quality geological models, grade control systems, and data integrity across operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced geologist who thrives in a collaborative, data-driven environment and wants to make a direct impact on mine performance and resource growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Chief Mine Geologist and Corporate Resource Team to manage mine geology projects.

  • Oversee creation and maintenance of 3D lithostructural and mineralization wireframes.

  • Apply advanced geostatistics for short-term resource estimation and grade control.

  • Review and enhance sampling protocols, QA/QC data, and laboratory performance.

  • Utilize Datamine Studio RM, Deswik.CAD, and Leapfrog Geo for geological modelling and block modelling.

  • Support short-term model creation, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting.

  • Assist in drill program design for delineation, conversion, and exploration.

  • Mentor the Mine Geology team in 3D modelling, data analysis, and geostatistics.

  • Contribute to the preparation of NI 43-101, PEA, PFS, and FS technical reports.

  • Uphold the company’s strong health, safety, and environmental standards.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Geology or Earth Sciences required; M.Sc. preferred.

  • Registered (or eligible) Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) in Ontario.

  • Strong experience with Datamine, Deswik.CAD, Leapfrog Geo, and geological modelling software.

  • Proven skills in applied geostatistics, QA/QC, and block modelling for narrow vein gold deposits.

  • Knowledge of core logging, sampling, and drill planning procedures.

  • Strong computer and database management abilities; Python skills an asset.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Commitment to maintaining a high standard of workplace safety.
