Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective execution of geotechnical works across major projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and supervising geotechnical site investigations including drilling, sampling, and field testing.

  • Analyzing soil, rock, and groundwater conditions to assess risks and recommend solutions.

  • Overseeing geotechnical testing programs in line with project requirements.

  • Supervising construction activities such as excavation, foundation preparation, ground improvement, and slope stabilization.

  • Providing on-site technical support and solutions for geotechnical challenges.

  • Ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

  • Preparing and reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

  • Coordinating inspections, approvals, and quality checks in collaboration with the Project Manager/Resident Engineer.

  • Reviewing and approving inspection checklists and ensuring performance records are maintained.

  • Inspecting materials used in construction and verifying compliance through field/lab testing.

  • Supporting the implementation of quality management systems.

  • Ensuring adherence to local and international geotechnical standards.





Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum 12 years in geotechnical engineering or related construction roles.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in soil and rock mechanics, foundation engineering, and ground improvement methods.

  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with tools such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, and field testing equipment.

  • Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
